I’m the Instruction & Assessment Coordinator at George Mason University’s Gateway Library. In addition to instruction and assessment, my research focuses on communities of practice for instruction librarians and reflective teaching practices.

I earned my MSLIS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2011) and hold a BA in History with a Certificate in Russian, Eastern European, and Central Asian Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Madison (2009). I’m currently working on an MS in Educational Psychology at George Mason University. You can follow me on Twitter @maoriakirker.
